These fiberglass silos are made in the European Union by one of the biggest manufacturers of silos in this size category, the AGRITECH s.r.l. Company. The silos are manufactured in compliance with European standards and bear the CE mark. The manufacturer is ISO 9002-certified.
The silos are delivered as disassembled. The actual vessel comprises of two parts bolted lengthwise. The silo overall includes a transparent strip that provides view of the quantity of material stored in the silo. There is a lid on the silo top and the bottom is fitted with a discharge valve. The bearing support structure is made in steel; its leg supports maintain two functions: they make the load-bearing structure and they also provide for the filling and deaeration of the silo. Silos of storage capacity between 6 to 15 cubic meters are mounted on three leg supports and silos of storage capacity between 18 to 31 cubic meters are mounted on four leg supports. There is a metal ladder attached on one of the leg supports to provide access to the silo roof.
